The annual Kiddie Carnival is also part of the Trinidad Carnival tradition -- a chance for children to join in the fun (Carnival Monday and Tuesday are adults-only) and show off their costumes, many of which they help make as part of local carnival committees, though schools or in social groups. This is the most wholesome part of Carnival -- lots of elaborate costumes, music and dancing, but no alcohol.
