From native frogs legs to international haute cuisine, Montserrat has a small but diverse group of restaurants to choose from.
Located at Tropical Mansions Suites in Sweeneys, Breezes serves a mix of Italian and Caribbean fare.
The owners of the Vue Pointe Hotel in Old Towne have managed to stay one step ahead of the volcano, and nothing heat up an evening on Montserrat like the hotel's legendary Wednesday night barbeque. Dining is poolside and accompanied by live music.
3. Ziggy's Restaurant
This tented, upscale restaurant requires reservations (ask at your hotel desk) and a navigator's sense of direction to find. Your reward is fine dining on house specialties like butterfly shrimp and jerk pork, accompanied by selections from an excellent wine list.
4. Tinas Restaurant
Whether you pick a table on the verandah or inside the air-conditioned dining room, you'll enjoy Tina's specialties like lobster burgers, pumpkin soup, and coconut pie. Located on the main road in Brades.
5. Jumping Jack Beach Bar and Restaurant
'Liming' hanging out and having fun at Jumping Jacks at Old Road Bay Beach is a national pastime in Montserrat; the restaurant specializes in fresh-caught fish, and the views of the beach and volcano can't be beat. For lunch, try the fresh tuna sandwich.
