Located on the northwest end of Jamaica, the Hotel Riu Montego Bay is a recent addition to the island’s all-inclusive offerings, opening in August 2008. The hotel stands before the beach on Mahoe Bay, less than three miles from the town of Montego Bay and less than two miles from the Montego Bay airport. It is a sprawling, well-landscaped resort with nearly 700 rooms, offering a wide range of all-inclusive activities including daily entertainment for children.

This huge resort has 681 guestrooms. Double rooms come with all the usual amenities, including air conditioning, satellite television, mini-bar, liquor dispenser, in-room safe and balcony or terrace. Suites come with bathroom with hydro-massage tub, shower cabin and bidet, and integrated lounge area with two steps between levels, and a sofa.

Optional dining with reservations required include the Kalu, an Asian buffet restaurant; the Little Italy Italian restaurant, serving a la carte dinner, buffet starters and dessert; and Mahoe Bay, a grill and steakhouse with a la carte dinner, buffet starters and dessert.
Formal dress is required for dinner in the main restaurants.
The bars here include the Exodus lounge, a bar with a terrace, the Coconut Bar and the Tai-Tai, a poolside and swim-up bar. There is also a sports bar on the property. All-inclusive beverages mean unlimited local and imported offerings, 24 hours a day, and a regularly restocked mini-bar and liquor dispenser in the rooms.

All-inclusive features are gym, ping pong, beach volleyball, two floodlit tennis courts, sauna, Jacuzzi, windsurfing, sailing, catamaran, snorkeling, kayaking and one introductory scuba lesson in the pool. Daytime entertainment is provided for kids and adults, and there are regular shows and musical productions at night. Also offered is free entrance to the Pacha night club, with drinks provided.
