In August 2008, a little bit of Las Vegas came to Bermuda -- with dynamite. Vegas has become famous for the spectacular destruction of its old hotels like the Sands and the Frontier, with implosions accompanied by fireworks and drawing huge crowds of spectators. The implosion of the former Club Med in Bermuda wasn't quite the same spectacle, but it certainly was one of the top events of the year! Here, you can see the vacant Club Med building, empty for 20 years, from Bermuda's historic Ft. St. Catherine.
