A $34-million renovation in 2008 transformed Club Med Punta Cana into a luxurious family escape, including a full-service spa, free-standing family suites with a private pool, revamped children's programs with a mini-water park and renovation of all 553 rooms. Nestled on the eastern tip of the Dominican Republic, Club Med Punta Cana sprawls over 75 acres of beachfront property. Its expansive white-sand beach, some 2,000 feet long and 165 feet wide, is considered one of the finest in the world.
All-inclusive Club Med Punta Cana Rooms
Tiara, a new luxury resort concept for Club Med, offers guests 32 oceanfront family suites, a concierge, private pick-up from the airport and special amenities, including bathrobes, turndown service, slippers, Keiji deluxe toiletries, laundry service, in-room massage treatments, a stocked mini-bar, and breakfast room service.
A boutique resort within the resort, Tiara provides a haven with private pool and bar as well as exclusive events. The family suites consist of 748-square-foot interiors with flat-screen televisions and free Internet access. Outside, suite guests can lounge in their private 100-square-foot patio with table, chairs and lounger, or use the new infinity pool reserved for Tiara guests.
A complete renovation of all rooms with interior design from the Remy Camoin Studio includes 42 deluxe family rooms specifically designed for families of four or five.

All-inclusive Club Med Punta Cana Restaurants and Bars
Part of the Club Med Punta Cana renovations included upgrades of it La Samana and Hispaniola restaurants with new healthy dining options, additional chef stations and improved interiors. It also saw the creation of a new beachside bar and grill, Celeste.
La Samana faces the pool near the main bar, is large and painted in Dominican color schemes, serving international buffet. Hispaniola's view is of the ocean just outside, and serves buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner.
All restaurants combine local ingredients with healthy international cuisine to create a truly unique dining experience. Included are drinks (served by the glass and at the bars only), water, fruit juices, sodas, hot drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, local and/or international alcohol brands, and wines. Not included are champagne, VSOP and XO alcohols, premium brands, bottles, and cans (available in vending machines or boutique). Bottles of wine for purchase are available in restaurants and bars.
Cielo is a bar opposite the pool, which also contains a dedicated children's bar for drinks and snacks. Celeste bar is on the beach, and includes a dance floor. Its terrace slightly overhangs the ocean. A cigar service is also available at extra charge.
All-inclusive Club Med Punta Cana Spa and Golf
The resort's full-service spa is Creole-style, replicating tropical design and features 10 air-conditioned treatment rooms and a couple's suite, individual and couple's oceanfront Palapas, a Zen area for relaxation, and a private swimming pool. Treatments feature things such as Aromasoul scrubs and massages, Monticelli mud treatments, pearl facials and more. Spa treatments are at additional cost.
Club Med Punta Cana also offers access to Tom Fazio-designed Corales Golf Course and La Cana, a beach-front course designed by Pete Dye. Club Med offers special package rates at both courses exclusively for their guests.
Club Med Punta Cana Children's Programs
This family vacation resort offers programs for children four months to 17 years, including a special hangout and skate park devoted to teenagers, all part of the all-inclusive offerings of the resort.
Upgraded children's facilities include Baby Club Med and Passworld. Additions to the children's programs are a redesigned skate park for teens, new Baby Club Med programs such as interactive parent-infant daily workshops and a dedicated children's pool with a mini water park.
Other activities include: Baby Gym, Petit Chef, Lil' Explorers Science Club, Hip-Hop Kidz and Mini Magic. Included in all packages are Children's Circus School for children as young as four, where they'll learn juggling, tightrope walking, trampoline, unicycle and clowning. Also included are lessons on using the flying trapeze.
