All-Inclusive Allegro Puerto Plata Diving
Beach volleyball is just one of a myriad of activities options at all-inclusive Allegro Playa Dorado in the Dominican Republic.
© Occidental Hotels and ResortsThere are many spots on the Dominican's north coast with little or no current, making it ideal for diving opportunities. Airport Wall features delicate sponge and fragile fan coral, with visibility to a depth of 70 feet. The Caves is recommended for experienced divers, characterized by a grand entrance and extending about 50 feet in length at a depth of about 50 feet. Five Rocks is considered the best bet for certified divers, who will find five giant submerged rocks with magnificent coral displays.
Larimar is a semi-precious blue-stone, deep-dive wall extending from 30 to 60 feet with scenery changes such as flowing sandy desert alive with yellowtail snapper, sergeant majors, eel, lobster and crab.
The Garden displays spectacular, colorful marine life with fan coral and tube sponges abounding, dropping to a depth of 80 feet.
La Puntilla is suitable for beginners at a depth of 40 feet.
Daily dives can be scheduled through the resort, as well as equipment rental and instruction.
