Club Med Columbus Isle is tucked in along the shores of Bonefish Bay, on the island of San Salvador in the Out Islands of the Bahamas, with buildings bordered by a soft white-sand, 1,500-foot-long beach. The rooms are located in two-floor bungalows built in the colorful colonial style the area is known for. Rooms have ocean views or views of the lush gardens. The resort, a scant 50 miles off the coast of Miami, is perfect for honeymoons, romantic escapes and diving lovers; it is one of the top five wall diving destinations in the Caribbean.

All-Inclusive Club Med Columbus Isle Rooms

The resort boasts 236 rooms in two-story bungalows. The club room category features first- and second-floor settings with a view of the gardens from the furnished balcony. Also available are club rooms with ocean views or two-bedroom accommodations. Deluxe room category features views of the ocean and the resort’s gardens. All rooms are air conditioned and come with coffee machine, flat-screen TV, mini-fridge, safe and other usual amenities.

Views abound from the balconies of rooms at all-inclusive Club Med Columbus Isle in the Bahamas.

There are three restaurants at this resort. Christopher’s faces the ocean and swimming pool and features colonial décor, serving all meals. Berimbau is slightly away from the center of the resort, located on the first floor above the scuba center and offers great ocean views. Lunch at Berimbau features international buffet, and for dinner, a menu of Brazilian specialties is offered. Watling’s has a seafood menu with ocean views.

Drinks at bars include local and international brands of alcohol, by glass and at the bars only. Not included are champagnes, VSOP and XO alcohols, top-shelf brands, bottles, cans (available in vending machines or in Club Med boutique), or bottles of wine available on the wine menu in the restaurants or bars.

The bars are the Verve Lounge and Liquid Bar, located between the pool and theater, facing indoors and outdoors. Azul Bar is wide open, facing the sea with terrace. Beacon Bar and Zao Bar, on the ground floor of the Sea Center, a great place for sunset viewing.

All-Inclusive Club Med Columbus Isle Activities

The fitness school here is part of the all-inclusive package, and offers programs and workout equipment for beginners and advanced fitness enthusiasts, with teaching by specialized instructors and group classes for all levels, six days a week.

The resort’s activities include sailing, snorkeling, windsurfing, aqua-fitness, cardio-splash, cardio-tennis, bocce ball, table tennis and a wide range of other physical activities. For added cost there is a scuba diving school and massage area at the spa.
