How does a new resort know what half off its summer rates is if it has never been open during the summer before? Well, it turns out the "new" Leeward Resort in Turks and Caicos -- advertising "up to 50% off" its regular summer rates on stays between April 15 and Dec. 15 -- is in fact the former Nikki Beach Resort.

More precisely, the new all-suites luxury resort promises 30-50 percent off, which translates to $299 nightly for a deluxe king room to $499 per night for a two-bedroom oceanfront suite.
