Curacao Events & Festivals

From carnival to the annual Jazz Festival, the Dutch Caribbean island of Curacao really knows how to throw a party! Here's where to find all the information you'll need to plan your Curcacao trip to coincide with one or more of the island's many great events and festivals.
Curacao Carnival
Jump-up parades in Willemstad highlight carnival season in Curacao, which spans January, February and March each year. Don't miss the farewell parade in March, when the carnival king, Rei Momo, is burned in effigy to ward off a host of sins in preparation for Easter.
Curacao Jazz Festival
Held at one of Curacao's historic plantation homes, the annual Jazz festival starts in late May and features parties, meet-the-artists events, and other activities in addition to lots of great live jazz performances.
Curacao Dive Festival
Curacao's 60 dive shops take part in the annual Curcaco Dive Festival, which starts at the end of May and features a week of workshops, free aquarium admission, beach movies, parties, and of course guided dives -- not to mention a poker tournament!
Curacao Regatta
Curacao's annual regatta is one of the largest in the Caribbean. Held each January, it includes competitions for Cat Boats, Sunfish and yachts, as well as Flash races.
