Travel Guide for Cayman Brac in the Cayman Islands

From

Almost 90 miles northeast of Grand Cayman sits Cayman Brac, and its sister island, Little Cayman. Cayman Brac distinguishes itself with its deep caves and high bluffs ("brac" means bluff in Gaelic). It's both a rock-climber and spelunker's paradise, and has become a landmark destination for adventure travelers.

Cayman Brac's tourism has taken a hit in the recent economic downturn and damage from Hurricane Paloma, with many of the cottages and condominiums shutting down. Still, there are plenty of privately-owned guest houses, and the quaint and lovely Walton's Mango Manor Bed & Breakfast, where you can kick back in the elegance of a early-twentieth-century island home ensconced in tropical flora.
