The relatively compact coastal strip of the Mexican Caribbean resort town of Cancun is home to perhaps the most concentrated group of all-inclusive resorts in the world. Cancun's 14-mile hotel zone, built on a barrier beach protecting a large lagoon, has about 90 hotels and resorts, and about half of these are all-inclusives where guests pay one price for their room, food, drinks, and activities.
