The resort features three signature restaurants that offer a diverse range of cuisine, from gourmet Italian and rustic Southwestern fare to Caribbean specialties and fresh seafood. Guests of the JW Marriott also have signing privileges at restaurants located at the neighboring CasaMagna Cancun Marriott Resort.   

On-property restaurants are:

• Gustino: AAA Four Diamond restaurant serving gourmet Italian cuisine in an elegant, candlelit space. Entering the restaurant dramatically via a curved balcony staircase, you'll enjoy world-class fusion cuisine with from pizzas and pastas to ample seafood options -- a deep-fried spiny lobster tail served over black-ink pasta with a Sangiovese wine sauce is a good example.
• Sedona Grill: Latin and Caribbean dining for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including a Mexican-Caribbean breakfast buffet.
• Beach Walk: Poolside lunch and cocktails, with a menu of sandwiches, salads, Caribbean specialties, and tropical beverages.

Resort amenities include a pool, tennis, spa, meeting space, a fitness center, and kids club. The Mayan-inspired Spa at JW Marriott Cancun Resort is excellent: a 35,000-square-foot full-service facility equipped with 16 healing treatment rooms, a beauty salon, a lagoon with sweeping ocean views, and a diverse menu of treatments such as massages, body polishes, facials and healing baths. We spent an hour after a refreshing massage alternating between the sauna, jacuzzi tub, and cold plunge here, and wished we had more time to linger.

The fitness center features a circuit equipment and free weights, a dedicated aerobics room, personal training, lap pool, Jacuzzi and daily group body toning classes. 

The Kids Club welcomes children ages 4 through 12. 

The JW Marriott Cancun Resort features 20,300 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor space, including the Tulum Terrace, an adjoining space between JW Marriott and CasaMagna Marriott Cancun Resorts.

Offsite amenities range from the nightclubs of Cancun to the newly reopened Maya Museum in the Hotel Zone; other big attractions, such as the Xel-Ha park and the Mayan ruins at Tulum, require a drive away from the barrier beach and along the Riviera Maya coastal road.
