At Almond Casuarina Beach, Barbados's famous green monkeys often snack in the lush gardens of bamboo and fruit trees that canopy the grounds. The resort sits on 10 acres bordering white-sand Dover Beach, close to St. Lawrence Gap in south-central Barbados. The resort has 280 rooms in six categories, and a new adult-only, ocean-view block offers superior deluxe and one-bedroom ocean-view suites. Remaining rooms overlook the gardens. There are three restaurants here and five bars and guests can use the four restaurants at nearby Almond Beach Village and Almond Beach Club & Spa (guests 16 and older) via a free shuttle.

All rooms in the six categories here, from standard to family suites, are non-smoking and include a balcony, French balcony or terrace, and are air conditioned with in-room safe, satellite TV and other usual amenities. Rooms offer one king bed; for parties of more than two, additional guests can get a rollaway or sofa bed.

© Almond ResortsThere are three restaurants here, as well as five bars (including a swim-up bar) serving brand-name cocktails and soft drinks. Live entertainment is offered nightly and a manager’s cocktail party is held weekly.
The restaurants are Waves, the resort’s main eatery serving buffet breakfast, full lunch with choice of buffet or a la carte, and a la carte dinner, in addition to a British high tea in the afternoon. There is also Enid’s, offering Caribbean cuisine, dinner only, and Dover Grill, a seafood restaurant.
All-Inclusive Almond Casuarina Beach Activities
The resort has three freshwater pools and a beach, in addition to water sports such as snorkeling, sailing and kayaking. There are tennis courts, lit at night, and a fitness center. A free shuttle brings guests to other Almond properties nearby, and the spa has, at extra charge, a wide range of treatments and massages.
The children’s program here is designed to provide educational fun for kids ages newborn through three, and a full-service nursery is available, providing indoor and outdoor recreation for kids up to two years old. The Kids’ Club is for children ages three to 12 and includes beach and pool activities, lessons in local dance, culture and music, and computer and video games. Babysitting is available for extra charge.
