Ladera Adds Private Beach, New Suites

Tuesday September 12, 2006
The Ladera Resort on St. Lucia recently purchased a new offsite beach for the exclusive use of hotel guests.

Located on a small bay about 20 minutes from the Soufriere dock by boat, the new Dasheene on the Beach at Anse Jambette will include a beach cafe and full bar, plus massage services and amenities like umbrellas, lounge chairs and changing rooms for guests.

Ladera also will unveil two new "Dream Suites" in December, making a total of three of these open-air luxury accommodations available on the resort. The first Dream Suite was built on the secluded northern end of the Ladera property; the new suites are being built atop a high ridge near the Dasheene restaurant on the southern side of the property. Each is intended to be a private retreat ideal for high-end honeymooners, with unobstructed views of the Pitons and the Caribbean. All have private decks and spiral stairways leading to private pools; Dream Suite rates start at $740 nightly in season (with a six-night minimum) and $560 per night in the summer.
