Aruba Rocks!

Thursday April 13, 2006
Aruba has some wonderful scenery and attractions once you get off the beaten tourist path, but I would recommend renting a jeep to get the most out of your tour.

One of my most memorable Aruba experiences involved a rented car, a large rock, and a hole in the gas tank. Aruba's roads aren't the greatest, but I can't blame the highway department for running over that rock, since I wasn't actually on a road at the time. I'd still recommend the jeep, since you may be tempted to off-road it a bit when you want a closer look at a jagged piece of coastline or some secluded beach.

My Aruba page has been updated with info on some of Aruba's top attractions, plus a list of the island's best restaurants. If you haven't been to Aruba before, suffice to say that a trip is in order for the food alone. Add the sun, sights, and surf, and what's not to like?
