Visiting St. Maarten is like getting two vacations in one when you spend time on the Dutch and French sides of the island, and this winter you can get some sweet deals even in high season:
Sonesta Great Bay Resort and Casino (Book Now) and the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort and Casino (Book Now) are offering 25% off all-inclusive stays on reservations booked by Jan. 31 for stays through March 31 as part of its Winter Getaway Sale. Discount rates start at $193 per night at Great Bay and $197 at Maho (per person, per night).
The Oyster Bay Beach Resort is shaving 10% off room rates, now starting at $248 per night, on stays booked by Jan. 15 for travel March 1 to Dec. 19, 2013. Taxes and service charges additional.
The Westin St. Maarten Dawn Beach Resort and Spa will give you a fifth night free when you book four on stays through Dec. 31, 2013, plus daily continental breakfast and free room upgrades at check-in via the hotel's Sunsational Savings offer.
Head south for the St. Maarten Classic Yacht Regatta March 25-April 1 and you can get rooms at the Divi Little Bay Beach Resort starting at $199 per night. Three-night minimum stay is required. As part of the package you'll also get to attend VIP activities during the regatta, daily breakfast for two, and a catamaran sail to watch the race.
