For the first time since 2008, there will be direct air service between the continental U.S. and the French Caribbean island of Martinique.
Beginning April 6, American Airlines will fly weekly (on Saturdays) from Miami to Fort de France, Martinique. Outbound flights will depart MIA at 11:40 a.m. and arrive in FDF at 2:35 p.m. Return flights will leave Martinique at 3:40 p.m. and arrive in Miami at 7:05 p.m. Miami is a major hub for American Airlines, meaning easy connections from cities across the U.S.
