JetBlue launche new nonstop service this week from New York (JFK) to Samana (AZS) in the Dominican Republic, a hot-spot for ecotourism and known for its natural beauty.

In recognition and celebration of the new flights, the Balcones del Atlantico resort near Las Terranas is offering 20 percent off room rates now through Dec. 20, 2012. Balcones del Atlantico is a luxury resort with 35 fully-furnished suites, each including a kitchen, living room, and private terrace, well-suited for travelers of all ages. It also has an on-site, open-air restaurant, Porto, which offers the most extensive wine list in the Caribbean.
With the promotion, guests can pay as low as $275 per night, with a three-night minimum, for a two-bedroom suite at Balcones del Atlantico.
