Hurricane Sandy Pounds Bahamas

Now a Category 2 storm, Hurricane Sandy is churning its way through the Bahamas on its way to a collision with the U.S. East Coast after making landfall in Jamaica, then eastern Cuba, bringing heavy rains and flooding to each of these islands and causing at least four deaths. The Dominican Republic and Haiti also bore the brunt of the fast-moving storm's passage.
