Tropical Storm Rafael brought heavy rains to the Virgin Islands, flooding to St. Kitts, and lahares (mudslides) to Montserrat this weekend, and has become a hurricane as it heads north toward Bermuda.
The good news is that all storm warnings in the Caribbean associated with Rafael have been dropped. However, the storm has strengthened into a Category 1 hurricane and looks to pass just to the east of Bermuda as it moves into the Atlantic ocean. Hurricane Rafael will be in the vicinity of Bermuda sometime on Tuesday.
