A major renovation project at the La Samanna resort in St. Martin has so far touched 50 of the resort's 83 rooms, with the addition of new furniture, bathrooms, kitchenettes, floors, waterproofing, electrical and plumbing.
Each room also now features original artwork by local artists which depict scenes or locations in St. Martin and the Caribbean, including works by resident artist Sir Roland Richardson and Antoine Chapon, a 25-year resident of the island. The renovation project is slated for completion by the end of 2012.
