San Juan Flights: Cheapest in the Caribbean?

I've given this advice before, but validation is always nice, especially when it comes from the New York Times' Frugal Traveler: If you want to save money flying to the Caribbean, head to Puerto Rico. Reporting from the recent New York Times Travel Show, columnist Seth Kugel said an airfare comparison on Kayak.com confirmed claims by Puerto Rico representatives that flights to San Juan are 20-25 percent cheaper than other nearby Caribbean destinations like Jamaica and the Dominican Republic.
