Visiting the village of Mt. Zion was one of the highlights of my recent trip to Jamaica with Steve Bennett of Uncommon Caribbean. Even if it's not really the Mt. Zion celebrated in reggae song and Rastafarian culture, this is still a cool little rural village that's worth checking out if you are in the Montego Bay area and want to get in touch with traditional Jamaica. Since it was Steve's idea to venture up into the hills from our hotel (the Holiday Inn Sunspree Montego Bay), I thought I'd share his take on the experience with you:
