With the longest Carnival season since the 1940s in full swing, now's the perfect time to get away to Aruba - and away from the frigid winter - with a plenitude of deals and events happening throughout the month.
For $599, book the "Carnival Package"at The Mill Resort and Suites and get a three-night stay, breakfast for two and two complimentary Carnival cocktails daily. That's good for travel from now until Ash Wednesday on March 9.
Extending past the Carnival season, the Occidental Grand Aruba is offering up to 29 percent discounts at their all-inclusive resort for travel until April 23, starting at $241 per night.
The Radisson Aruba Resort, Casino and Spa, meanwhile, does one better by offering half-off all room rates until April 24. The Radisson package starts at $291 per night and includes $25 in spa credit and $150 in beverage credit on stays of five to six nights ($200 for stays of seven nights or more).
Once you're in Aruba, check out the major Carnival events, from the Carnival Queen election ceremonies on Feb. 19 to their "Lighting Parade" on Feb. 26. Then wake up for pre-dawn dancing on March 5 for Jouvert Morning and catch the Grand Parade on March 6, and party the rest of the weekend away.
