Danielle Now a Category 4 Hurricane, But Expected to Miss Bermuda

Hurricane Danielle is now packing sustained winds of 135 mph, making her a dangerous Category 4 hurricane. The good news, however, is that the National Hurricane Center is predicting that the storm will make a turn to the north-northwest tonight. "On the forecast track the center of Danielle is expected to pass well to the east of Bermuda on Saturday night," according to the latest advisory. The storm is now less than 480 miles from Bermuda.

As for Tropical Storm Earl, he is still 1,300 miles west of the Leeward Islands and has winds of about 45 mph, although Earl, too, could become a hurricane this weekend. The National Hurricane Center also is tracking another tropical wave off the coast of Africa that has a high potential to develop into a tropical storm or hurricane...
