JetBlue Looks to Launch Punta Cana Service

By , About.com Guide   December 16, 2009

JetBlue Airlines has applied for government permission to begin flying to Punta Cana -- one of the Dominican Republic's main tourist destinations -- from New York and Boston.

Assuming federal authorities give their nod, the airline would begin daily nonstop service between New York (JFK) and Punta Cana on May 6, 2010, and Saturday flights from Boston (Logan) on May 8, 2010. Both routes would be serviced by Airbus A320 aircraft.
