'Regular' Resorts Add All-Inclusive Packages

Friday January 2, 2009
Caribbean resorts are trying all types of discounts and deals to try to entice visitors during this tough economy, and one I'm noticing more frequently is full-service hotels offering all-inclusive packages in addition to their a la carte pricing.

The Westin Aruba, for example, just rolled out an all-inclusive program for 2009 that starts at $400 nightly and includes accommodations, meals, top-shelf drinks, activities, entertainment, taxes and service charges. There are no wristbands involved, and the deal includes room service, the Westin Kids Club, beach palapas, and even an off-property dining credit -- the latter something you won't find at your typical all-inclusive resort.

For reservations or further information, call 1-877-822-2222 or book online referencing rate plan SOPAIP.

Similarly, the Marriott hotels in the Caribbean and Mexico have launched an Escape Inclusive package, good for minimum four- or five-night stays (varying by property) at eight Marriott and Renaissance hotels. For example, the Curacao Marriott Beach Resort & Emerald Casino's Escape Inclusive package starts at $418 per night and includes accommodations, meals, drinks, and activities for up to two adults and two children.

The deal is good for stays through Oct. 31, 2009. To book this offer, call 888-PARADISE or use promotional code NCL when booking online.
