Smoking Ban Coming to Barbados?

Puerto Rico is the only island in the Caribbean to ban smoking in indoor public spaces to date, but that could change as of Jan. 1, 2009, when Barbados plans to implement a smoking ban of its own. Barbados' health minister, David Estwick, said he plans to get legislation to Parliament this fall after surveys found strong public support for a ban.

There’s a lot of ‘hoohaa’ about the possibility of the government trying to stop smoking on the beaches and it would be great to dig up some more detailed info.
