Paradise Jam Packages at Bolongo Bay

The Paradise Jam basketball tournament in St. Thomas, U.S.V.I. has been extremely popular since its inception in 2000: organizers say the week-long contest among eight NCAA Division I basketball teams is the second-biggest draw to the island after Carnival. This year's tournament will be held Nov. 21-29 (Nov. 21-24 for the men, Nov. 27-29 for the women), and the Bolongo Bay Beach Resort is offering a 20% discount on European Plan stays that week. Discounted room rates start at $192, based on double occupancy, and include an introductory scuba lesson and use of nonmotorized water sports equipment.

Men’s basketball teams participating in this year's Paradise Jam include Connecticut, Iona, La Salle, Miami, San Diego, Southern Miss, Valparaiso and Wisconsin. The eight Division I women’s basketball teams competing in this year’s Paradise Jam tournament include Baylor, California, Central Florida, Iowa, South Florida, Texas Tech, Villanova and Wisconsin.
