Another Summer Travel Air Credit Offer, This Time from Sandals

Thursday July 17, 2008
The summer travel deals continue to pour in from the Caribbean as resorts seek to fill rooms with Americans fighting their way through a slumping economy. One popular gimmick has been offering to offset the cost of air travel, and the Sandals chain of all-inclusive resorts is the latest to promote an air-credit deal.

Under Sandals' Fly Free Promotion, guests who book a stay at any of the chain's resort's will receive air credits worth up to $550 per person. The deal is good on stays of three nights or more between July 18, 2008 and Dec. 20, 2009.

Moreover, guests who stay six nights or longer will receive discounts of 30 percent off rack rates, and those who book stays of seven nights or longer at Sandals' top-level suites will receive up to two nights free, as well.

The Fly Free Promotion is good at all 12 Sandals resorts in Jamaica, Antigua, St. Lucia, and the Bahamas. Air credits will be issued as follows: $350 for travel to Jamaica or the Bahamas, $450 to St. Lucia, and $550 to Antigua. For more information, see the Sandals website or call 800-SANDALS.

I would highly recommend against people using Sandals for travel, we just got back from Antigua and our experiences with them when it came to handling the flights were miserable beyond belief – on both the way down and the way back:
