New Luxury Resort Opens on St. Lucia
The Rock Resorts chain of luxury resorts has opened The Landings on St. Lucia, claiming the property is the most posh on an island that already has more than its share of upscale resorts. The first 62 efficiency guest suites were opened at the Rodney Bay resort in December, along with a spa, salon, fitness center, pool, water-sports center, private yacht harbor, and the Beach Club restaurant. By 2010, the resort will have 231 one-, two-, and three-bedroom suites, all with water views.
Property highlights include a five-story entrance pavilion with a three-story waterfall, suites with Colonial-style furnishings and Italian tile, and kitchens adorned with Tuscan mosaics. The Landings has a 7,000-square-foot RockResorts Spa offering more than 40 treatments, and the 80-slip marina includes the Yacht Haven restaurant serving Caribbean and Mediterranean cuisine.
