It's Official: No Charges in Holloway Case

Tuesday December 18, 2007
Aruban prosecutors announced today that they would not file criminal charges against three young men who were considered the prime suspects in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in 2005. Chief Prosecutor Hans Mos said there was not enough evidence to charge Joran van der Sloot, 20, or brothers Deepak, 24, and Satish Kalpoe, 21. The three spent time with Holloway, 19, the night of her disappearance, but no hard evidence of wrongdoing was ever found, and an extensive search turned up no trace of the Alabama teen, who vanished during a school trip to Aruba.
