Hilton Coming to Bonaire

Little Bonaire is getting a big-time hotel: the just-announced Hilton Bonaire Resort and Spa will have 144 rooms, be located just minutes from the Bonaire airport, and will debut in July 2010.

Bonaire has its share of small hotels and even a Divi resort, but the Hilton will be -- by far -- the most high-profile hotel on this small island in the Netherlands Antilles. Suitable for business travelers and tourists alike, the full-service Hilton Bonaire will be built amid the canals of southern Kralendijk, the Bonaire capital, and will include 12 luxury suites, a rooftop fitness center and spa, a dive center, shopping, and a pair of restaurants.
