St. Lucia Airport Horror Story
Thursday November 15, 2007
I enjoy reading travel writer Christopher Elliott's travel blog, especailly when he takes on airlines, hotels and others in his role as informal ombudsman for traveler complaints. Sometimes, I take gripes about airline service in the Caribbean with a grain of salt, but Chris' recent story about a woman denied permission to board a US Airways flight in St. Lucia because a supervisor claimed she was in the wrong line had the ring of truth about it. U.S. travelers often have unrealistic expectations about island travel -- and can be pretty obnoxious about it at times -- but in this case it seems like US Airways employees were in the wrong, and really ought to pay up...
