Tropical Storm Felix Prompts Warnings

Saturday September 1, 2007
The sixth named storm of the 2007 hurricane season, Tropical Storm Felix, currently has maximum sustained winds of about 40 mph and is about 30 miles northwest of Grenada. The storm is moving west of the Windward Islands, prompting tropical-storm warnings to be posted in Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao. Grenada and St. Vincent and the Grenadines also have posted warnings.

Experts say Felix could reach Category I hurricane status by next week; I will keep you updated on further developments.
