JetBlue Launches Aruba Service

Thursday September 21, 2006
Here's some great news if you live in the Northeast and are considering an Aruba vacation: JetBlue Airways -- known for its low fares and great service -- launched daily nonstop service between New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport and Aruba on Sept. 15. Introductory airfares are starting at $129 one-way, with standard one-way fares expected to be in the $149-$399 range.

JetBlue will fly its A320 jets, all equipped with top-notch in-flight entertainment systems, to Aruba. Local officials say the discount airline's arrival will substantially boost airlift to Aruba from one of the island's major markets. The presence of JetBlue also should help push down airfares to Aruba, which traditionally have been on the high side.
