The Ballad of Gordon and Helene

Hurricane Gordon briefly threatened Bermuda last week, but instead zagged east for a rare tropical encounter with Portugal and Spain. Meanwhile, Hurricane Helene, which has generated winds of up to 105 miles per hour, is also expected to move east of Bermuda. So, while the soggy fall is likely to Bermuda, at least the island has so far managed to dodge the full impact of three major storms this year.
