Curtains Up Nov. 6-11 for Dominican International Film Festival

The 2006 Dominican International Film Festival will be held Nov. 6-11 at the Sun Village Resort & Spa in Confresi Beach. Thirty films will be screened during the course of the festival, which also will include VIP parties, filmmaker panel discussions, and other special events.

The resort is offering a number of travel deals for the film festival, including a "VIP All-Access Package" that includes seven nights lodging and entry to all events starting at $2,121 per person, based on double occupancy. Other 4- and 7-day packages also are available; festival tickets also can be purchased separately online.

Highlights of this year's festival will include the presentation of the 2006 Rising Star Award to actor/producer Anthony Anderson and screenings of films like L'Audition, The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause, America Brown, and Dead Lenny.
