OK, this isn't strictly about the Caribbean, but I really enjoyed About.com Budget Travel guide Mark Kahler's new article on getting the best mileage out of your air-miles credit card. His tips include keeping a sharp eye on interest rates and when (or if) the miles you earn expire. The story also includes reviews of some of the top cards issued by banks and airlines. I was searching and found the recommendations at www.MileCards.com were helpful. They are written by frequent flyers who know the ins and outs of the system.
I was surprised to find out a hotel chain credit card was best for my needs because it earns both hotel and air miles.
