Puerto Plata Gets Facelift
Saturday August 19, 2006
The Dominican Republic government is putting some cash into improvements in the tourist town of Puerto Plata, including increasing the length of the beach by more than a mile. Included in the project are plans for a new outdoor amphitheater near San Felipe Fort, a new dock with restaurants and bars, and improved access to the Isabela de Torres cable car. The project is slated for completion next April.

It’s nice to know that the Dominican Republic government is putting some measures to develop it’s tourist attractions. For such a beautiful place, it would have been a shame if they do not bring in tourists.
Well, that is some pretty good news. At least the Dominican Republic government is concern of this spot. If finally, renovation is done. The people will get to see how much contribution it could make for them.
