New Newark Nonstops to Bonaire

Saturday August 12, 2006
Continental Airlines will launch new nonstop service between Newark International Airport and the Dutch Caribbean island of Bonaire on Dec. 16 -- the first nonstop between Bonaire and the U.S. East Coast since 1980.

In December 2005, Continental began flying nonstop between Houston and Bonaire.

"This flight will provide much needed nonstop service to our most important geographic market, the Northeast U.S.," said Ronella Croes, director of Tourism Corporation Bonaire. "We feel confident in saying that based on success of Continental’s Houston flight and with three of Bonaire’s top ten geographic markets being New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey, all signs are pointing to this flight meeting or exceeding our expectations."
